Canon EOS 70D C.Fn II :Autofocus Part 2/2

This is the Part 2 of Canon EOS 70D C.Fn II :Autofocus.
Part 1 is here.

[AF area selection method]

[Orientation linked AF point]

[Manul AF pt. selec. pattern]

[AF point display during focus]

[VF display illumination]

This is the one I was looking for, which is [AF Microadjustment]

This time I pressed [2.Adjust by lens] ten to see what it looks like.
This function is dramatically different form its function of EOS 50D. We are able to microadjust on both side, Wide and Tele. :)

This is an extra information, [C.Fn III: Operation/Others] [Custom Controls]

Photos in this post were used Canon IXUS 115 HS.

C.Fn II :Autofocus Part 1/2

I like to update some more photos for my first touch to EOS 70D.

This EOS 70D's LCD panel is identical to EOS 60D.

Next following photos are that my reason to visit to Canon show room in Nagoya, Japan.
You may probably know micro adjustment feature has been implemented in EOS 70D.
As you know, EOS 70D hasn't been released on market, yet. So this is a piece of mind, camera firmware is;
Camera Ver.1.0.4
Lens Ver.1.5.0
note; this EOS 70D has set an EF-S 18mm-135mm IS STM at the time of I too this photo.

I pressed the MENU button, then chose C.Fn II :Autofocus then...was looking for micro adjustment section.

First section I have found [Tracking sensitivity].

[Accel./decel. tracking]

[AI Servo 1st image priority]

[AI Servo 2nd image priority]

[AF-assist beam firing] which is I often use when a target is close enough for this function. I have found this actually helps a lot to focus.

[Lens drive when AF impossible]

[Select AF area selec. mode]

Photos in this post were used Canon IXUS 115 HS.

Review - EOS 70D looks like 60D

This afternoon I visited Canon's showroom in Nagoya, and had a look Canon EOS 70D.

My first impression are that
looks like EOS 60D see the picture below.
when I handled EOS 70D, it feels like EOS 60D.
The mode dial of 70D is identical to 60D. When you change a mode, the centrally located button needs to be pressed. See another picture for close look.
Another similar things from EOS 60D is the LCD monitor. I know this is a touch panel like a smart phone however, I didn't feel differences from 60D's.
I enabled Live view mode when I took this photo. I noticed touch panel mode was disabled when I tried 70D.
The main reason for my visit today was to check its Auto Focus mode and Micro Adjustment mode if they are there and what it is like. Whenever I am ready I will update some which I captured.

70D not impressed me much at this time

I just wanted to share my experience which I spent some time with Canon EOS 70D today.
EOS 70D has been released yesterday 2nd July 2013 as ...
To be continued...
